        Most of our flavors are nut-free, but please note that all of our Macarons are baked with almond flour and our cupcakes are baked in a kitchen where nut ingredients are used!

        Nope, we’re small and we like it that way. We want you to be able to try all of our awesome flavors, and you would be seriously stuffed if they were any larger. We’re not like a regular cupcake, we’re a cool cupcake.

      • What cupcake flavors does Baked by Melissa offer?

        We have at least 18 flavors at any one time including our classic flavors, gluten free, seasonal collection and the Mini of the Month. Think of the possibilities!

      • Are there any new flavors coming out?

        All. The. Time. We love imagining up new flavors. Each month, we have a new Mini of the Month; seasonally, we have a collection of three new cupcakes, and we always bake something special around holidays.

      • Are Baked by Melissa products nut-free?

        Most of our flavors are nut-free, but please note that all of our Macarons are baked with almond flour and our cupcakes are baked in a kitchen where nut ingredients are used!

      • Does Baked by Melissa bake gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free, sugar-free or vegan products?

        We have gluten free cupcakes and macarons! But we aren’t currently offering egg/dairy/sugar-free products just yet. Hang in there, vegans.

      • Does Baked by Melissa have an ingredient list?

        We got it if you want it! Just call our Customer Happiness team to request one (212.842.0220).

        All of our products are baked at one central location and delivered fresh to our stores on the daily.

        You can order online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220) for pickup and nationwide shipping! You can also walk right into any one of our 13 locations and order on the spot.

      • Do I need to pre-order?

        Totally your call. Pre-orders can be placed online or over phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220).

      • What type of payment does Baked by Melissa accept?

        For phone or online orders, we accept credit card only (Amex, Visa, MasterCard, Discover). For walk-in orders, we accept cash and credit card.

      • When will my credit card be charged?

        Your credit card will be charged when you finalize your order.

      • Can I place my order through email?

        Feel free to email us with any questions, but to ensure customer confidentiality, all orders have to be finalized online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220).

      • Will pricing information be included with my gift order?

        Nope! We do not include receipts or invoices with orders placed online or over the phone. Because nobody wants a gift with a price tag on it. But you will get a confirmation email. Printed receipts are offered for orders placed in stores.

      • How can I use my Promo Code?

        After logging into your account, on the shopping cart page, click "Use promo code" and enter your code. You can also use your promo code when placing an order over the phone (212.842.0220).

      • How are Baked by Melissa cupcakes packaged?

        Glad you asked! We have options. Online we’re currently offering 25 packs of cupcakes and macarons. You also have the option to get all fancy and add a really cool tie-dye gift box - a small holds up to 50 and a large holds up to 100.

      • What are Packs?

        Packs are clear plastic containers that keep our treats so fresh and so clean! We currently have 25-packs available online. Each cupcake or macaron sits in its own little bubble within the pack, so they won’t smush! Cute right? And they stack really nicely. We also have packs that hold smaller quantities in store.

        Party tip! You can call and request pods! They hold one cupcake each, perfect for party favors.

      • Is Baked by Melissa Kosher certified?

        All of our products are baked in a central dairy Kosher-certified kitchen. While our kitchen is certified by OK Kosher, our store locations are not since we are open seven days/week. According to OK Kosher’s level of certification, re-handling our products on non-kosher premises breaks the Kosher seal. All Kosher Orders are labeled with an OK Kosher symbol.       • How can I place a Kosher Order?

        Easy! If you’re ordering online, just go through the regular ordering process. For pickup Kosher orders, you just have to call and order over the phone 4 days in advance (212.842.0220). We box them in our certified kitchen in plastic wrapped packaging and we’ll send them to the location of your choice. We do keep a limited supply of Kosher products on hand at all of our store locations, but we recommend calling in advance to make sure your store has them in stock!




    • Cupcake Care

      • How should I store Baked by Melissa cupcakes?

        Freeze em’! (Freezer, not fridge). They stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. Take them out 20-30 minutes prior to serving.

        Pro tip- Cupcakes are also pretty awesome straight out of the freezer. You’re welcome.

      • Can I travel with my order?

        Absolutely! Our packs are great travelers. If you choose to bring an ice pack, we recommend wrapping them up in plastic as there will be some condensation. For airplanes, we suggest keeping our product in your carry-on.




    • Muffins

      • How can I get muffins?

        Easy! Muffins can be ordered for nationwide shipping, delivery in Manhattan, or for store pick-up. Order online or through our Customer Happiness Team at (212)-842-0220.

      • How big are Baked by Melissa muffins?

    • Muffin Care

      • How should I store Baked by Melissa Muffins?

        If enjoying within 12 hours: Leave pack closed and out at room temperature for soft, doughy perfection.

        If enjoying soon but not today: Store (sealed) pack in the freezer for up to two weeks. When you're ready to eat, take them out and keep them at room temperature for 25 minutes prior to serving.

        Pro-Tip: If you're a Magical Muffin GENIUS: Warm those babies up. Remove muffins from the pack and place your desired serving on a plate. If they're frozen, microwave on high for 15 seconds and eat right away. If your muffins are already room temperature, microwave for just 5 seconds and prepare your mouth for magical bliss.




    • Pick Up Orders

      • What is a Pick Up Order?

        Pickup orders are orders that are placed in advance online or over the phone for pickup at any of our store locations in NY or NJ.

      • Do I need to order in advance?

        Well, you don’t NEED to, but if you are ordering a 25-pack or more, and would like them to be ready upon your arrival, then yes. You can do so by pre-ordering online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). Otherwise, walk-in orders can be placed on the spot at any of our store locations. We always have plenty of cupcakes and macarons!

      • How can I place a pre-order?

      • How far in advance do I need to place my Pick Up Order?

        At least two hours in advance of your pickup time.

      • What is the Pick Up Order minimum?

        We have a $20 pickup order minimum.

      • How can I pay for my pre-orders?

        We accept credit card (Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Discover) for orders online or over the phone.

      • Do I need to bring any type of confirmation with me?

        Just the name on the order!

      • Is it okay if someone else picks up my order for me?

        That’s fine. Just specify the full name of the recipient when you place your order. If it’s placed under your name, let the person picking it up know to give your name instead of theirs, and make sure they know what you ordered!

      • Should I wait in line if I pre-ordered?

        Nope! Since you’ve already ordered and paid, you can skip the line and go straight up to the front counter.

      • Is it okay if I am running late?

        No worries! Your box will be patiently awaiting your arrival.

      • Can I modify or cancel my order?

      • How can I track the progress of my Pick Up Order?

    • Delivery Orders

      • What is a Delivery Order?

        A Delivery Order is an order that is hand-delivered to a Manhattan address below 110th Street.

      • What is the Delivery Order minimum?

        Our Delivery Order minimum is $20 worth of product.

      • How far in advance do I need to place my Delivery Order?

        Delivery Orders can be placed online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). Delivery Orders must be placed before the start of your desired Delivery Window. Our Delivery windows are 9-11 AM, 11 AM-1 PM, 1-3 PM, 3-5PM, 5-7PM and 7-9PM.

      • Is there a Delivery Fee?

        Yes, our delivery fee is $9.95/location.

      • When will my Delivery Order arrive?

        When placing a Delivery Order, you will be prompted to choose a delivery date and Delivery Window in which your order will arrive. We deliver seven days a week, even on National Holidays! Your order is guaranteed to arrive within the selected Delivery Window. Our Delivery Windows are 9am – 11am, 11am - 1pm, 1pm - 3pm, and 3pm - 5pm.

      • What if I am not available at my delivery time?

        This is precious cargo we’re talking about, so we can’t just leave your treats to fend for themselves! We will try to leave your order with a third party if we can (like your doorman, receiving desk, etc.) but if that doesn’t work, your order will be available for pick-up only at the nearest Baked by Melissa store location.

      • Can I request a more specific delivery time?

        We guarantee Delivery Orders arrive within the hours of the designated Delivery Window. We are happy to take requests for more specific delivery times, but we are not able to guarantee them. However, we always do our very best to accommodate requests!

      • Can the doorman/receptionist sign for my Delivery Order?

        Yes, as long as the doorman/receptionist accepts perishable goods! Please keep in mind that some Manhattan buildings will not hold food deliveries and the recipient will need to be available to receive.

      • Should I tip the Delivery Team?

        If you would like to!

      • Can I modify or cancel my order?

    • Shipping Orders

      • What is a Shipping Order?

        Shipping Orders are orders that are shipped nationwide to all 50 states via FedEx.

      • How can I place my Shipping Order?

        Shipping Orders can be placed online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220).

      • How far in advance do I need to place my Shipping Order?

        Great question! It all depends on how quickly you need your order (yes, cupcake emergencies are a real thing). We ship with FedEx for arrival Tuesday-Saturday. Please note that for expedited delivery, orders must be finalized by 2pm Eastern Time on the day prior! If you are a super awesome party planner and you’re gearing up for a special occasion, we recommend choosing an arrival date 1-2 days in advance. Sometimes high order volume (esp. during the holidays) can make FedEx’s operational schedule a little wacky!

      • What is the Shipping Order minimum?

        Our Shipping Order minimum is $20.

      • How can I pay for my Shipping Order?

      • What products are available to ship?

      • Will Baked by Melissa products arrive fresh?

      • How long will Baked by Melissa products stay fresh for while in-transit?

        Our packaging will keep your treats fresh for up to 4 days.

      • How does Baked by Melissa ship?

        We’ve got this part down. First we put your cupcakes or macarons into our custom-designed packs and then we shrink-wrap them to keep them super duper fresh. They are then stacked in a freezer bag with either frozen gel packs or dry ice. Then we put it in a really cute box and FedEx brings it to you!

      • How can I track the progress of my Shipping order?

        For shipping orders, we'll send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. The link should bring you to the FedEx website, and you can watch your treats take their journey. Please allow up to 12 hours after placing your order to see tracking information!
        For Delivery orders, we'll send you an email when the order has been delivered.
        For pick-up orders, just head to your selected store and your treats will be waiting at the scheduled time!

      • What should I do with my Shipping Order once it arrives?

        Open it! Open it! Then jump for joy! Just kidding, but you can do that too. If you can somehow prevent yourself from immediately eating the contents of your box and want to serve your treats later, just take out the individual packs (shrink-wrap optional) and stick em’ in the freezer. Take them out 20-30 minutes prior to serving and enjoy!

      • Where does Baked by Melissa ship?

        We ship nationwide to all states, including HI and AK.

      • Can I ship to University Campuses / Mailroom P.O. Boxes?

        Yes! We love college. While FedEx does not deliver to USPS P.O. Boxes, exceptions are made for student mailrooms (that’s right - mailrooms are not technically considered as P.O. Boxes! Phew!). Just be sure to verify the accurate guidelines and address format with the university.

      • Does Baked by Melissa ship internationally?

        We’re currently only shipping within the U.S., but we may cross borders someday! Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know.

      • When will my Shipping Order arrive?

        You can choose your arrival date at checkout. If you’re placing your order in advance and you don’t see the arrival date you want, just give our Customer Happiness Team a call and we’ll be able to assist you (212.842.0220)!

      • Is my arrival date guaranteed? What if my Shipping Order doesn’t arrive on the date I chose?

        Because we use FedEx as a third party shipping method, we are not able to guarantee arrival dates and times, but we try really, really hard to make sure it gets to you on time. If you’re planning for special occasions, we recommend choosing an arrival date 1-2 days early (so for weekend events, we recommend arrival on Thursday) so you can be worry-free! And your cupcakes and macarons will stay fresh in-transit for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

      • Do I need to be home to sign for my Shipping Order?

        Nope! FedEx does not require a signature for our packages, which means that your order will be left at the arrival destination as long as the FedEx delivery person feels comfortable doing so. If the first attempt is unsuccessful, a second attempt will be made as soon as FedEx can accommodate it, usually on the following business day.

      • Where are Baked by Melissa stores located?

        We have 13 store locations in the NYC and NJ area. See them all on our locations page!

      • Does Baked by Melissa have locations outside Manhattan?

        Yes, but not too far off! We have one store in NJ, one store in Long Island, NY, and if you’re traveling, we have one store in the JetBlue Terminal (5) at JFK Airport! If that’s not close enough, we ship anywhere in the U.S. through FedEx.

      • Is there a minimum for placing an order in store?

        Nope! You can purchase any quantity on the spot.

      • Is there a credit card minimum for ordering in store?

        Nope!

      • What type of payment does Baked by Melissa accept for orders placed in store?

        We accept cash and all major credit cards (Amex, Visa, MasterCard, Discover)!

      • Is it easy to park outside Baked by Melissa store locations?

        We get it, it’s NYC - parking is rough. We don’t offer designated parking at any of our Manhattan store locations, but it's easiest to park near or pull up to our Upper West Side, Union Square, or Gramercy store locations!

      • Can I speak directly with a Baked by Melissa store location?

        All calls are directed to our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). They’ll be able to help you with any questions you might have!

      • Can I bring my dog inside?

        We love all dogs, but only service dogs are permitted in stores.

      • When did Baked by Melissa open?

        Our first store location opened on a beautiful day in March of 2009.

      • What is a Gift Card?

        Other than awesome? Gift Cards are Baked by Melissa debit cards. They hold a dollar amount value that can be used on orders placed in store or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). And they never expire!

      • How can I use my Gift Card?

        Physical Gift Cards can be used for orders placed in store or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). They can be used multiple times until they run out.

      • What is an E-Gift Card?

        E-Gift Cards are virtual Baked by Melissa credit! They can be used to place orders online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). Any value can be purchased. E-Gift Cards do not expire. And they make awesome gifts!

      • How can I order an E-Gift Card?

        You can purchase an E-Gift Card online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). When you’re finished, the recipient will receive an email with their E-Gift Card inside, a gift message, details of how to use it, and the sender's name (so they can thank you for the best gift ever).

      • How can I use my E-Gift Card?

        E-Gift Cards can be used for purchases placed online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). If you are placing your order online, enter your E-Gift Card code that was emailed to you at checkout.




    • Group Gifting

      • What is Group Gifting?

        Group Gifting is a fancy term for 10 or more individual Shipping Orders. It’s a great way to send everyone on your list a really sweet gift. Please note orders placed through Group Gifting must be finalized at least 7 days in advance, and is only available if you are placing 10 or more individual Shipping Orders.

      • How can I place a Group Gifting Order?

        It’s super simple! Start by downloading this Order Form. Fill out the form with all of your order details and when you're ready, email the completed form to our Customer Happiness Team at multi@bakedbymelissa.com. A Customer Happiness Associate will get back to you with pricing, and upon your approval, will finalize your order. Easy peasy! See attachments for our order form and guide.

        We now also offer an option on our checkout page to send our treats to multiple addresses! Just add the products you want to your cart and select "Checkout with Multiple Addresses" on the Shopping Cart page!

      • For Group Gifting, what is the minimum per individual order?

        Each individual order needs to meet our pre-order minimums, which is $20.

      • Can I select a receiving date for my gifts?

        Yep! You can specify a receiving date on your Group Gifting Form. Keep in mind, we ship to receive Tuesday - Saturday. Because we ship via FedEx as a third party, we are unable to guarantee arrival dates and times. While they do have a 99% success rate, there is a 1% chance of a delay, so if you want to go totally worry-free, we suggest scheduling your order to arrive 1-2 days early.

      • Can I include a Gift Message with each of my orders?

        Of course!

      • Does Baked by Melissa have special packaging for Group Gifting?

        We’re big fans of adding some pizazz. So we offer several customizable packaging options for orders of 10 or more. Download our PDF to learn more!

      • The item I want isn't listed on the Group Gifting Form!

        To keep the Group Gifting process as simple as possible, we only included pre-assorted Baked by Melissa packs on the form. But don't worry! You can order any Baked by Melissa product in a Group Gifting Order. Just let us know what you'd like to order in the body of your email when you send your order form over to multi@bakedbymelissa.com.

      • How are your Gluten Free Cupcakes baked?

        Our Gluten-Free cupcakes are baked in a dedicated gluten free kitchen - that means no risk of cross-contamination during our baking process as the product never comes in contact with any gluten-containing ingredients! All of the ingredients we use are certified gluten free or are manufactured in dedicated gluten free facilities.

      • Where can I purchase your Gluten Free Cupcakes?

        You can order our gluten free cupcakes online and, now, in stores!
