Our Assistant General Managers hep develop their team both personally and professionally. They assist in the training of new hires, act as mentors, and provide actionable feedback to all of their coworkers. Assistant General Managers oversee all areas of their store and act as a true representative of the Baked by Melissa culture. Assistant General Managers support their General Manager in leading a happy, customer-focused team.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and profitability
  • Foster and manage a happy, passionate, customer-focused atmosphere
  • Hold team to Baked by Melissa standards
  • Ensure team is kept up-to-date on all policies, procedures, and promotions, supporting the General Manager in ensuring that information is appropriately communicated
  • Observe team and give active feedback on-the-spot
  • Roleplay with team each shift to improve customer service and selling standards
  • Manage inventory daily, ensuring proper stock quantities of all product
  • Ask questions
  • Make suggestions on all aspects of the business
  • Additional duties as assigned


Requirements

  • 2 years of retail and/or customer service supervisory experience
  • Experience in training and team development
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
