Hi! I’m Melissa Ben-Ishay, co-founder and CEO of Baked by Melissa. Passionate about baking since childhood, I turned my dream into reality when I was fired from my job as an assistant media planner (I wasn’t passionate about my job and it showed) in 2008. Following a pep talk from my brother, I went home and started baking. Following a serendipitous series of events and a ton of Tie-Dye cupcakes, Baked by Melissa was born. Now I spend everyday making people happy with our signature bite-size cupcakes and sharing my food philosophy: believe mealtime is for nourishment and dessert is for indulgence.
