Tzatziki is a refreshing, flavorful cucumber-yogurt dip made quickly with only five ingredients. It’s perfect as an easy appetizer or spread.
E-Z Tzatziki Recipe
I am a huge fan of anything you can zhuzh up a pita with. I’m an even bigger fan of anything that can be made quickly while impressing guests. This recipe is it, friends. Tzatziki only takes a few ingredients to make and is great for entertaining, dressing up a grain bowl, spreading on a sandwich…the list goes on (I haven’t yet found the end of its uses). Feel free to play around with this recipe by adding spices (lemon-pepper is a particularly good addition) and herbs (dill is often a favorite).
Ingredients for E-Z Tzatziki
- 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt (I use this kind)
-
1 baby cucumber
-
2 garlic cloves, grated with a microplane
-
1 lemon
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
How to Make E-Z Tzatziki
-
Put the yogurt in a small bowl.
-
Finely chop the cucumber (grating works too if you don't feel like chopping) and add it to the bowl.
-
Add the garlic to the bowl. Juice the lemon into the bowl and stir together. Season with salt, taste, and adjust seasoning as needed.
