A few months ago, I discovered popcorn on the cob. Yes, you read that right—a corn cob that can go in the microwave and pop up into a delicious snack. I bought a bunch for my kids to have fun with, and when it was ready I added a few of my favorite seasonings and spices. To make this even easier, use your favorite kind of plain popcorn (microwaved or stovetop), then mix up the topping to enjoy. The nutritional yeast gives it a cheesy flavor without adding any dairy–plus the fact that it’s a powder makes it so easy to use for this.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 1/2 cups popped popcorn
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
Directions
- Pour the olive oil over the popcorn and gently mix to evenly coat.
- Mix all spices together in a small bowl and sprinkle over the popcorn.
- Carefully mix to combine and enjoy immediately.
