How it all began...

In 2008, Melissa Ben-Ishay was fired from her job in advertising. Passionate about baking since childhood and with the idea that people should be able to taste more flavors without a post-dessert guilt trip, Ben-Ishay decided to do what she loved and Baked by Melissa was born. Today, Baked by Melissa is famous for its signature, bite-size treats. The brand introduced its first gluten-free product in November 2015, a line of eight gluten free, bite-size cupcakes. In January 2016, Baked by Melissa launched its first ever non-cupcake product, a line-up of six bite-size macarons. Baked by Melissa operates 13 stores, including a shop at JFK’s JetBlue Terminal 5. Baked by Melissa is also available online for nationwide shipping.
