We've created unique packaging to keep your cupcakes safe and delicious in transit. All of our bite-size treats are baked fresh, sealed and packaged with care. We use recyclable foam liners and ice packs to ensure that our hand-crafted bite-size treats arrive at your door in perfect condition - guaranteed.

Yes! At checkout, you can select an arrival date up to 365 days in advance. If you don’t see the arrival date you want, just give our Customer Happiness Team a call and we’ll be able to assist you (212.842.0220)!

We offer flat rate shipping for all orders placed online. Standard Shipping is $15.95, Expedited Shipping is $24.95, and Saturday Arrival is $34.95. For additional information, please see our pricing table below.

We offer nationwide shipping, Manhattan delivery, and in-store pick up. We ship via FedEx and CDL Last Mile to all 50 states. Manhattan delivery orders are hand-delivered via third party courier to any Manhattan address below 110th Street. Pick up orders are placed in advance online or over the phone for pick up at select store locations. See Locations page for details. 

Yes! You can choose your delivery date at checkout. Please note, delivery orders must be placed at least 5 minutes before the start of your desired delivery window (see delivery window table below).

We’ve got this part down. First we put your bite-size treats into our custom-designed packs and then we shrink-wrap them to keep them super duper fresh. They are then stacked in a freezer bag with a recyclable foam liner and frozen gel packs. Then we put it in a really cute box and FedEx or CDL Last Mile brings it to you! Our awesome packaging ensures that your products will arrive fresh - guaranteed!

Yes! We love college. While FedEx and CDL Last Mile do not deliver to USPS P.O. Boxes, exceptions are made for student mailrooms (that’s right - mailrooms are not technically considered as P.O. Boxes! Phew!). Just be sure to verify the accurate guidelines and address format with the university.

Great question! It all depends on how quickly you need your order (yes, cupcake emergencies are a real thing).

Shipping: We ship with FedEx and CDL Last Mile for arrivals 7 days a week, depending on your location. Please note that for next-day shipping arrivals, orders must be finalized by 2pm Eastern Time on the day prior! Next day shipping arrival is available Monday - Friday.  If you are a super awesome party planner and you’re gearing up for a special occasion, we recommend choosing an arrival date 1-2 days in advance. Sometimes high order volume (esp. during the holidays) or weather conditions can make FedEx’s and CDL Last Mile's operational schedule a little wacky!

Delivery: We recommend ordering 1 day in advance, but we can also accommodate same day deliveries! Just make sure your order is finalized prior to the start of your desired delivery window (see below!)

Pick Up: You don’t NEED to order in advance, but if you are ordering a 25-pack or more, and would like them to be ready upon your arrival, we suggest you order at least 2 hours in advance of your pick up time. You can do so by pre-ordering online or over the phone with our Customer Happiness Team (212.842.0220). Otherwise, walk-in orders can be placed on the spot at any of our store locations. We always have plenty of cupcakes and macarons!

SHIPPING ORDERS

Shipping Orders are orders that are shipped nationwide to all 50 states (including HI and AK!) via FedEx and CDL Last Mile. We currently do not ship outside of the U.S., but we may cross borders someday! There is a $32 minimum for shipping orders. At checkout you are able to specify an arrival date up to 365 days in advance. We schedule all our orders to ensure your bite-size treats are never in transit longer than 2 days. All of our orders ship with one of the following options; FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, FedEx 2Day, CDL Standard, FedEx Standard Overnight, or FedEx Priority Overnight.

SHIPPING METHODS

Standard: Our least expensive shipping option. Ships out with either FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, FedEx 2 Day or CDL Standard. In transit for 1-2 days and will arrive by end of day (usually by 8PM) on arrival date selected.

Expedited: Ships out with one of the following options; FedEx Standard Overnight or FedEx Priority Overnight. In transit for one day and will arrive by 8PM on the arrival date selected.

Priority: Ships out with FedEx Priority Overnight. In transit for one day and will arrive by noon on the arrival date selected in most locations; by 4:30 PM. or 5PM in remote areas. To find the arrival time for your location, please visit FedEx.com.

Saturday: Ships out with either FedEx Home or FedEx Priority Overnight for a Saturday arrival. In transit for one day and will arrive by 8PM on the arrival date selected.

Sunday: New! Ships out with FedEx Home for a Sunday arrival. In transit for 1-2 days and will arrive by end of day (usually by 8PM) on the arrival date selected. Sunday arrivals are available for select zip codes only. You can enter your zip code at checkout to find if Sunday arrival is available in your area.

Monday: New! Ships out with one of the following options: FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, Standard Overnight, or Priority Overnight. In transit for two days and will arrive between 12PM and 8PM on the arrival date selected.

DELIVERY ORDERS

A delivery order is an order that is hand-delivered to your door! We currently offer delivery to Manhattan addresses below 110th Street. We deliver seven days a week, even on national holidays! Delivery orders have a $20 minimum. The delivery fee for all Courier Deliveries is $9.95. We'll send you an email when the order has been delivered!

Placing a Delivery Order: When placing a delivery order at checkout, you will be prompted to choose a date and delivery window in which your order will arrive. Our delivery windows are 11 AM-1 PM, 1-3 PM, 3-5PM, and 5-7PM (see table below). Same Day Delivery orders must be placed before the start of your desired delivery window.

We are happy to take requests for more specific delivery times, but we are not able to guarantee them. However, we always do our very best to accommodate requests! We do guarantee Delivery orders arrive within your selected delivery window.

NEW LOCAL DELIVERY PROCESSES DURING COVID-19 

We are offering contactless delivery to Manhattan addresses below 110th street through third party courier services (Relay & Door Dash).

How it works: Our in-house dispatcher will call the phone number provided at checkout when your order is on the way. The courier will call you once they arrive at your location, and you can tell them where you’d like them to leave your order (at your door, with a door man, etc.)

If you’re not available at the time of delivery, we will try to leave your order with a third party (doorman, receiving desk, etc.) but if that doesn’t work, your order will be available for pick up only at the nearest Baked by Melissa store location. 

*Please note that a limited number of store locations are open at this time and try to be at your place of delivery when the courier arrives.

PICK UP ORDERS

Pick Up orders have a $20 minimum. At pick up, just specify the full name of the recipient. Someone else can pick up for you so long as they know the name of the order and make sure they know what you ordered!

Running Late? No worries! Your box will be patiently awaiting your arrival. Since you’ve already ordered and paid, you can skip the line and go straight up to the front counter.

STORING PERISHABLE GOODS

Once your shipping order arrives... open it! Open it! Then jump for joy! Just kidding, but you can do that too. If you can somehow prevent yourself from immediately eating the contents of your box and want to serve your treats later, just take out the individual packs (shrink-wrap optional) and stick em’ in the freezer. Take them out 20-30 minutes prior to serving and enjoy!

ARRIVAL DATES

You can choose your arrival date for Nationwide Shipping, Local Courier Delivery, and In Store Pick Up at checkout. If you’re placing your order in advance and you don’t see the arrival date you want, just give our Customer Happiness Team a call and we’ll be able to assist you (212.842.0220)!

Because we use FedEx and CDL Last Mile as a third party shipping methods, we are not able to guarantee arrival dates and times, but we try really, really hard to make sure it gets to you on time. If you’re planning for special occasions, we recommend choosing an arrival date 1-2 days early (so for weekend events, we recommend arrival on Thursday) so you can be worry-free! Your cupcakes and macarons will stay fresh in-transit for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

FedEx and CDL Last Mile do not require a signature for our packages, which means that your order will be left at the arrival destination as long as the FedEx delivery person feels comfortable doing so. If the first attempt is unsuccessful, a second attempt will be made as soon as FedEx or CDL Last Mile can accommodate it, usually on the following business day.

ORDER TRACKING

Shipping orders: We'll send you an email that includes the order's tracking number once your order has been processed. You can click on the tracking number and it will bring you to a page where you will clearly be able to track your order and watch your treats take their journey. We will also keep you up to date by sending updates on when your order is out for delivery and when it is delivered. Please allow up to 12 hours after placing your order to see tracking information!

Delivery orders: We'll send you a delivery confirmation email when the order has been delivered!

Pick up orders: Just head to your selected store and your treats will be waiting at the scheduled time!
