Salads for Labor Day Weekend

Posted: | Categories: Substack Archives | Tags:substack

Labor Day is always bittersweet because the summer is officially winding down. I have to think about my kids’ sneakers and haircuts for school (which I probably should have thought about weeks earlier). But it’s also a great reason to gather with friends and loved ones and create new memories over our favorite meals (and cupcakes!).

This weekend, we’re coming home from the beach, so I’ll be using the time to get my kids ready to go back to school. They’re growing so quickly that none of their clothes fit, so we’ll be shopping. If you have any recommendations for good Labor Day sales, please send them my way!! I’m sharing a few of my tried-and-true faves below.

And don’t miss the end-of-summer meal plan I shared on Wednesday—filled with my go-to meals to make getting back to the grind easier. It’s available to ALL subscribers (free & paid) so everyone can get a taste of the delicious meal plans to come!

Supermarket Slaw

The easiest salad to make for a big group (and great with your favorite protein).

Watermelon & Corn

Use the summer produce while you can! You can also stack them into cute apps if you want.

Halloumi Salad

If you’re grilling chicken and making a Mediterranean Chopped Salad this weekend, this would be an incredible addition.

Condiment Salad

Perfect for scooping into a pita, topping a burger, or eating as a side.

Supermodel Salad

Grab all the fresh peas you can find at the market and whip this up. It’ll be great as leftovers for lunch next week.

Have a great Labor Day weekend!!
