Make crunchy, flavorful toast in minutes with a few pantry ingredients.

The Perfect Toast Recipe

I’ll say here first: You should eat toast for dinner tonight.

Toast is one of those perfectly adaptable foods that goes with just about anything and you probably already have the ingredients for. I often make toasts as my first meal of the day (not to be confused with breakfast) or when I work from home for a quick lunch in-between meetings. Toast doesn’t have to be bland—the way I make it, it’s bursting with flavor and ready to be topped with your favorite salad or veggies.

Ingredients for the Perfect Toast

  • As many slices of bread as you want pieces of toast

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt

  • Garlic Powder

  • Toppings (See my favorites below)

How to Make the Perfect Toast

  1. Heat about a tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  2. Add the bread to the pan and heat for a few minutes on each side until golden. Season with salt.

  3. Remove the toast from the pan and sprinkle with garlic powder. Top with whatever your heart desires (my favorites are below).
