Sesame peas, perfect to snack on

Four years ago today, I started a nearly 1,300-day streak of posting to TikTok. A new video every single day, mostly recipes. I’m hungry just thinking about it! In honor of that anniversary, I’m so excited to start my newest journey on Substack.

If you’re a long-time subscriber, THANK YOU! You’ve truly helped me make my weekly newsletter what it is. And I’d love to hear from you—what recipes or content do you want to see? Please let me know in the comments!

This platform gives me an opportunity to interact with you directly, welcome new members into the community, and answer your questions in real time. I can’t wait to see what we cook up together. In the meantime, here are 12 snacky recipes to munch on all day long, in celebration of…the anniversary.

  • Before I washed this shirt, I loved it. Now that I’ve washed it, I love it even more. It really is perfect like they say! I have it in heather grey, which I think is softer than other colors.

  • I love using a grill press to make sure my bread gets fully toasted. It’s especially helpful for bread that has been frozen.

  • We’re hosting Take Your Kid to Work Day at the Baked by Melissa office next week, which of course means we’ll be tie-dying. I swear by these shirts anytime I do it. Here are a few other tie-dye must-haves.

Crunchy Cashew Slaw

I know what you’re thinking—a salad?! But trust me, the cashew crunch on top is worth snacking on.

Munchie Mix

Use whatever crunchy, salty ingredients you have. I used Cheez-Its, pretzels, and tortilla chips. Trust the process.

Loaded Sweet Potato Snack

It’s crunchy, it’s creamy, and it has a little bit of everything, plus it takes minutes to make.

Squash Breakfast Hash

I mean, the name says it all.

Chicken Fingers & Seemingly Ranch

If you’re in your chicken fingers era.

Vegan Cheesy Popcorn

Bookmark for movie night! Flavorful stovetop popcorn has never been better.

Sesame Peas

I could snack on these whenever they’re in season—it’s a perfect appetizer or simple side.

S’mores Bites

These are a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen without losing your mind. For an even easier salty-sweet snack, use fun-size candy like this.

Superfood Pancakes

I snack on these and give them to my kids to snack on. They’re amazingly filling and taste so good.

Crunch Bars

Crunchy, sweet, and salty with just three ingredients.

Chocolate-Covered Pumpkin Seeds

Because everything is better covered in chocolate. You could also use sunflower seeds!

S’mores Treats

In my house, cereal is dessert, not breakfast. Take the gooey marshmallow treats you love and make them even better, with Golden Grahams and chocolate chips.

What do you have cooking up this weekend? Tell me all about it in the comments. ✌️
