This year, 10% of every International Women's Day pack sold will be donated to the Women’s Education Project (WEP).  Through this organization, young women ages 15 to 24 attend an experiential, vision-expanding program to gain knowledge, skills, and a broad understanding of their opportunities. As self-reliant, confident leaders, they are able to make positive change for themselves, their families, and communities, as well as informed choices to earn in careers of their own choosing.

Every Thanksgiving for the past four years, we’ve partnered with City Harvest to support them in the fight against hunger. This year, for every Give Thanks 25-Pack sold, Baked by Melissa will donate $1 to City Harvest, helping to feed two New Yorkers in need for a day.

City Harvest is New York’s first and largest food rescue organization, helping to feed millions of New Yorkers who struggle to put meals on their tables. For forty years, City Harvest has rescued more than one billion pounds of fresh, nutritious food and delivered it—free of charge—to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, and community partners across New York City. The organization finds a practical purpose for the abundance of uneaten food in New York City, in turn helping feed the nearly 1.5 million New Yorkers who face food insecurity every day. The nonprofit awards financial assistance to those who cannot afford the high costs of fertility procedures such as in vitro fertilization and gestational surrogacy, helping people achieve their dreams of parenthood. $5 from every purchase of our Mother’s Day Gift Box 25-Pack will be donated to this incredible organization.

Since 1996, the Lower Eastside Girls Club has radically imagined youth and community development. They are a model for thought-leaders from across the globe who visit, learn from, and replicate their unique program design and approach to community engagement. We’ve proudly partnered with the organization Good Grief to give you a special way to send love & give back this Valentine’s Day! Based in New Jersey, Good Grief is 100% free and teaches resilience and healthy coping skills to children & families affected by the loss of a loved one. They provide peer support services to individuals, grief training for educators, community members & corporations, and host a summer camp that encourages healing through the arts. For every February Fix 25-Pack sold, we’re donating $1 to Good Grief to help fund their peer support programs for children, teens, young adults & families coping with loss.

During September 2020, we set out to celebrate and support the educators in our community. Each week, we asked our followers to nominate teachers that had made an impact on their lives by sending us their story on instagram. Every day of the month, we selected a teacher to receive cupcakes from us, free of charge. In addition, we made weekly donations to organizations that help support schools & teachers like Donors Choose, Adopt A Classroom, The Kids In Need Foundation & Clear The List Foundation. In December of 2017, Melissa was touched by the experience she had granting the wish of an amazing boy named Joshua, who wants to be a chef. Inspired to do something to support all the wonderful efforts of Make-A-Wish, we decided to collaborate with them on a special cupcake as our May Mini of the Month. Baked by Melissa will donate $0.75 for every individual Make-A-Wish cupcake sold and $1.50 for every Latest & Greatest pack sold between April 29 and May 31, 2018.
