I used to hear from moms all the time that their kids couldn’t have eggs or dairy. Instead of school celebrations being joyful for them, they became a point of sadness and feeling left out because they couldn’t eat treats with their friends. We believe in cupcakes for everyone, so we knew we had to make vegan flavors happen.
How We Make Our Vegan Cupcakes
Our goal at Baked by Melisa is to make people happy with the highest quality product possible. Just like our original flavors, our vegan cupcakes are made with delicious ingredients you’ve heard of before, like Oatly Full Fat Oatmilk, dairy-free dark chocolate, and real strawberries. Oatly’s oatmilk allows us to get an incredibly creamy, nut-free buttercream that tastes just like our original recipe.
All vegan cupcakes are handcrafted, too, meaning the batter is mixed by hand and the cupcakes are stuffed and iced by the Baked by Melissa team.

My favorite vegan flavors are the Triple Chocolate Chip and the Dark Chocolate Coconut, which was inspired by a Mounds bar.
